Mother why do you change your nature? Sister why are you so insecure? Brother out turning green to grey Father why do you turn away? A prayer for the light at the end of the day Suffering forgiven take it all away. Shelter me from the martyr's call Save the children from the rise and fall. A prayer for the light at the end of the day Suffering forgiven take it all away.
Anyone thinking that the reason for this sudden solo outing is because Russell wanted to try taking on some different musical styles (than what he's known for) will be sadly mistaken - it's the same melodic, Zeppelin rock that he's made a career of for two decades by this point. In fact, such tracks as the album-opening title track "You'll Lose a Good Thing," and the power ballad "Leave Me Lonely" are so Great White-esque that it's almost impossible to tell the two apart.
He has one of the most powerful and distinctive voices in hard rock history, heard on such classics as "Once Bitten, Twice Shy", "Rock Me" and "Save Your Love". Highlights include the ballsy cover.
Musically, this album is right in line with GW's brand of Zeppelin-inspired blues rock while lyrically Russell offers some of his most personal and poignant insights into his incredible life! Features all new artwork and an extensive booklet with complete lyrics! Track Listings. Disc: 1. 1. 4. Long Way to Go. 5. Hey Bulldog.
